To make this process fast and easy, we agree to provide an export file from our site in XML format. Please note that this file is provided under an Open Source license and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement.
How to Import the Guides into WordPress
You can easily import the file into your own WordPress site. Just unzip the file and follow the steps below.
- Log into your WordPress site as an administrator.
- Go to Tools → Import.
- Under “WordPress”, click Install Now then Run Importer.
- Upload your XML file.
- You will first be asked to map the authors in this export file to users on the blog. For each author, you may choose to map to an existing user on the blog or to create a new user.
- WordPress will then import each of the posts, comments, and categories contained in the uploaded file. In addition, you can import attachments by checking the “Download and import file attachments” option.
